Why did you decide to become a governor at Greenfield?
At the invitation of an existing Governor of the school, I visited Greenfield Nursery and could not resist supporting this wonderful school which is so important to the local community.
What skills, experiences knowledge do you bring to the governing body?
I have been a school governor of a primary school in Hertfordshire for over 20 years, acting as chair for many of those years. I understood the challenges facing this Nursery and the need for evidence based assessments of the various aspects of governance including finance, staffing, premises and children’s progress. I also became a Grandparent recently and have become increasingly aware of the role of quality early years provision for both children and parents.
What was the most important thing you took from our vision conference September?
The collaborative aspect of the vision conference was undoubtedly the most important part.
